The hospital is located on the main 100 feet ring road of JP Nagar and is easily accessible from all parts of the city. The hospital is situated on a 10,000 sq ft area and offers ample floor space and vehicle parking space. The hospital is totally accessible for aged and handicapped patients.

The eye hospital is divided into three floors and the ambience is excellent with a beautiful reception lobby and a well-planned outpatient block. The entire operation theater area is specially designed and maintained under strict sterile conditions. The operation theaters can handle up to 50 surgeries per day. The inpatient area offers 20 rooms which are suitably laid-out and furnished. In addition to the air-conditioned and single deluxe rooms the hospital also has support services like administrative office, medical stores, medical record section, separate staff lunch room, doctors’ staff room, etc. In the outpatient department there are 10 perfectly-equipped consultation rooms and 5 rooms dedicated for ophthalmic diagnostics and evaluation. All our outpatient departments are equipped with ophthalmic unit chairs and slit lamps, in addition to refraction unit, keratometer, and direct and indirect ophthalmoscopes. Our outpatient diagnostic rooms have computerized automated refractometers, non contact tonometers, computerized lensometer, and digital chart projectors. This helps in accurate screening and diagnosis of eye diseases. We have a latest version of digital flouroscein angiography and diode and yag laser treatment facilities. Our operation theaters have hi-tech equipment like Carl Zeiss microscope, Leica microscope, AMO sovereign Phaco emulsification equipment, and Bausch & Lomb millenium phaco and vitrectomy units. Shekar Nethralaya also has touch-screen demo units that give complete detail of all the common operational procedures in an interactive way to the patients.
